RIP – Richard Thomas Martin

Dad died on 25 June 2009, eggs generic just short of his 82nd Birthday.

He suffered badly in his final months and must surely now be in peace. Below he checks out some of our photography

As I update the site, it’s Mum’s anniversary of her death today. Time flies so fast……
Cannot help feeling a little sad…

Rob, I’m very sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family have found peace as well. Losing a parent is a natural rite of passage, one that changes your perspective forever. As it should.

It’s remarkable how easily you could tell this was your Father. The resemblance is striking.

    My heartfelt condolences..ReplyCancel

Rob, So very sorry to learn about the loss of your father. Please accept my deepest sympathies. You are definitely your father’s son… denying the family resemblance. Take care my friend.ReplyCancel

Kruger – 2006 a prelude to 2009

Sao and I are heading to Kruger again in July.

I’m displaying images in a separate page giving a hint of what we’re expecting again.

Hopefully we’ll do better image wise……

Wedge Tail – Kangaroo Feed

This dude was feeding on a Kangaroo when we interrupted him.
We don’t bait any birds, generic eggs so this is a genuine “Sneak up”.
Yeah right……

I will be in Kruger at the same time as you…staying in GAME rich area of Tsendze camping camp near Mopani Camp north of Letaba for 10 days over Jul Aug. I shoot Nikon D700 plus all those fab Nikkor lenses like 200-400 f4 etc. Love to see you and show you around (107 trips to Kruger in the last 30 years ..all with Nikon gear)…unfortunately best birds are from Oct to April. Have a look at to see some of the best Wildlife pics around..I am a pro wildlife photographer and I have a few pics there. Chris van rooyen South Africas best bird photographer may be joining me…he has just converted to Nikon because of the 200-400 and 500 f4 VR and the 70-200 f2.8 Nikkor matched with the D3 and the Nikon service in S Africa…look at his gallery as well…Mention on the SANParks forum you have spoken top me…itsamore amateur site so hardly ever on there…so you will get better advice on Outdoorphoto for sure
